One on screen mama who didn't have such an awesome weekend, would be Reba McEntire, and her show 'Malibu Country' which was given the axe from ABC. I personally am a big fan of Reba, and loved the show- but it did have a lot of similarities to her last show; Reba, which both showed a woman (ironically named Reba) coming out of a cheating marriage and raising children on her own. Next time, let's step out of that dysfunctional family idea box, and try something new....
Also up for an axe himself, is Keith Urban, who is reportedly not being brought back for another season of American Idol. If I were him, I would be praising the Gods to be rid of that show. It's SO 2003. Nicki Minaj and "Mimi" are a train wreck- and not one that even the most sadistic person would like to watch. I truly believe they single handed (or double handed? sounds kinky...) ruined this show, and with competition from The Voice piled on to the lack of appeal the show itself holds, I wouldn't be surprised if the entire "Idol" show itself got the axe...
In legal news T. Swift is getting sued for not performing- or shall I say not "rescheduling" a performance in Canada. It seems she was supposed to put on a show in Ottawa Canada, in August of 2012, but due to complications and random reasons, the show was cancelled (not due to Taylor herself) yet because ticket buyers wanted their money back (shocking!) the company who sold them the tickets is claiming that Taylor herself should be reimbursing the fans with the money she was paid upfront for the venue...the one that never happened. While the ticket reimbursement cost $1.8 million dollars, she is being sued for $2.5 million dollars (my math skills tell me something's off, no?). However Taylor and her legal team are claiming her contract had nothing to do with the company who sold the tickets, therefor she is in no way in breach of it, and has no intention of repaying it. With a $17 million ocean front home in her recent purchases, she probably needs that $2.5 million to install a guitar shaped pool equipped with music note slides, and boy band diving boards.
Stepping out of his own legal news from the lawsuit against plagiarism, Brad Paisley had quite the po-po scene at his concert in Indiana. While the place may be called "Noblesville", I'm doubting anyone there is feeling quite so "noble" knowing 54 minors were arrested for illegal possession of alcohol at Brads concert. How embarrassing.. We'd never heard of your little town before, but that's one way to make a name for yourself. Cheers! (too soon?)
Brads partner in crime though (allegedly) Ms. Carrie Underwood has her own exciting news going on, as she has now joined with the NFL to take over the theme song for "Sunday Night Football". She will be replacing Faith Hill, who has been the voice of it since 2007, and will be releasing her own rendition of the hit at the first game of the 2013 NFL season on Sunday September 8 when the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Giants. I'm not a football fan, but I'll pretend I am to see her amazing style and hear her phenomenal voice. Who knows, maybe I'll learn to love football? Maybe pigs will fly? Both- are doubtful. Just so you know.

And lastly, wishing a very happy birthday to one of my favorite country stars Darius Rucker who
turns 47 today! If you are a k-town resident like myself, then don't forget he will be gracing us with his presence May 19th at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum, and there is still time to get your tickets!!
Catch up with you later!!
xx Jamie
